sleeping better...

jaelyn has been sleeping better during the day. now she has been adjusting her bedtime schedule. she has been going down for the night around 7:30, which is ideal. but she has been waking up around 2 am, nursing and going back to sleep until about 6 am. she will nurse and go back to sleep around 7:15 and take a 2.5 hour nap until after 9 am. such a strange strange schedule right now. i am hoping she is just going through an adjustment phase and she is starting to organize her sleep. hopefully she will get the schedule down to 7:30 pm until 7:00 am without waking at all!! i am certainly not complaining because i really don't mind getting to snuggle with her at night. she has always been such a good sleeper at night, so i can make it through this kind of crazy schedule right now.

sleepless day?

yesterday, jaelyn slept very little. it was so unlike her. from 9 am until 7 pm she only slept a total of one and a half hours. very weird. she didn't sleep to well the night before either she was up a lot. she had a wonderful night of sleep last night and seems to back on track. she has already taken a one hour nap today!

i seem to remember that after her last set of shots at 2 months she did a day of wakefulness a few days later. and she did have her 4 month shots a few days ago. wondering if there is any connection between the shots and extreme wakefulness. the day of and the day following the shots she is a little bit sleepy and irritable.

thankfully during her sleepless day yesterday, she really was not fussy. she was very pleasant. such a good baby!!

our little valentine...

jaelyn had her first valentine's day this past weekend!!! of course she had to have some appropriate attire!! here she is is two of her heart onesies! the red one was actually jesiah's when he was a baby. it is a few sizes too big but worked for the occasion!

teeny beany baby...

jaelyn turned four months old on friday! i can hardly believe she has been here for that long. time is flying by. i just want to freeze time and live in the moment of her being so small. she is such a joy! jaelyn is the best baby ever! she is so sweet. i am just enjoying her so much. her smile lights up my day. and i praise God for a healthy baby who i get to hold and love on each and every day.

today we were at her four month well visit. she is doing wonderful. our doctor is quite pleased with her! dr. lassiter did not hear the heart murmur she heard at her one month check up. praise God. and praise God for our pediatricians! i don't remember if i put the story of our new pediatricians on our blog or not. but back in september we decided to switch to a closer practice. we chose kids first pediatrics, they were highly recommended by my friend kelly. i have been so pleased with the care my kids have received there. i just LOVE kids first.

anyway, onto jaelyn. she weighs 12 pounds 12 ounces and is 23 1/4 inches long. she has gained over five pounds in four months! jaelyn is in the 25% for weight and 50% for height. still a teeny beany baby as i call her. she cried when she got her shots (so did i!) but she calmed down very easily.

the weather has been really warm here!! yeah bring on spring! so yesterday, jaelyn wore a sweet little onesie that was given to her from my friend erin. isn't it the cutest??? thanks so much erin!! she did wear something really cute with her onesie that i am saving as a surprise for another post. so stay tuned for pictures and a new post!!!

such a sweetie...

i can't believe that jaelyn will be four months old on friday. i know i say this every day and in every post, but time is going so fast. i thought i would post a few pictures of jaelyn over the past few weeks. and then i will post again on her "fourth month birthday". we will go to the pediatrician a few days after she turns four months, so i will post her stats then. she hasn't been since she was two months, i am very curious about how much she weighs. she is still a little baby. she has really chubby cheeks. jaelyn is very chatty! she baby talks and laughs a lot! she is an angel. i could just eat her up.

jaelyn couldn't do this a few weeks ago and now she sits like a champ.

i found this adorable high chair at target for really cheap on clearance.
so we got it for her, she sits there with us during our meals.
she likes to see us.
and no she is not eating solids yet!!
